Dialysis is starting to really suck. Literally.
I’ve been coming out of it wiped out. And what’s worse, I get in at 9 a.m. for a chair time of 10:30 a.m. I get out at 3 p.m. I don’t get home until 4 or 4:30 because my driver, which is outsourced by MTM, is one of the only dependable ones–but, unfortunately, he’s all over the state. I call him if I get out early, but I still don’t get picked up until any time after 3 p.m. Thursday, I got home at 5 p.m. After being dropped off at 9 a.m. Yes, it’s a full time job.
Now I have a pressure sore in a barely accessible place from sitting almost all the time. I walk a little bit every hour or so, but there’s only so much I can do because I’m afraid of falling. My legs are weaker because of the Botox, an expected side effect. I did a lot of walking on Friday and could barely move after I got home.
I’m tired a lot, grumpy, getting 4-5 hours’ sleep, and poor. And I guess I’m whining. Forgive me.
