Posicit – the app that proves your loyalty.

Henry Taggart checked his Poziband on his wrist. His score was 825. He looked up at the sign on the building. Seattle DMV. He smiled, opens the door for the person behind him and his score rose to 827.

He was wanted and his Poziband scanned. “Go to room 316,” said the guard who scanned him.

A room! Not the auditorium lie what happened years ago.

In 2052, the Pacific Northwest put into effect the PoziCit, the positive citizen app. To have people–like those rude Millennials–be more positive citizens to each other, the State implemented these new items. It would track your kindness to others, strangers, friends and family, as well as to animals. You would receive points based on strangers (5 points), friends and family (3 points) and animals (2 points). In return, if you kept these points above 500, you could get preferential treatment at hundreds of state and local facilities.

Henry could use this simply to get to a room, not the huge auditorium with four DMV workers (and only one at lunchtime).

He walked directly to the room and opened the door. It was packed with people, maybe thirty or so in the room. In front of him were three rows of seats, all full. Some of the Millennials were sprawled out in the chairs, legs askew into the aisle, with their ever-present hairbuns that had fallen out of favor years ago. Henry scowled. He had hoped to avoid them. Well, at least the room was only thirty, less than two hundred in the auditorium.

Henry took a number from the computer kiosk–601. Looking through his Glazzies, connected to the DMVNet, he saw the number they were on was only 552.

He walked around the room, looking for a place to stand. He found a place near another man. The man nodded to Henry, but he didn’t see it, intent as he was with the Glazzies showing him a vintage Wild West show…
