I&#8217;ve decided to try a poem a month (at least) to have something ready. I wanted to try different forms other than my usual free-style.\u00a0 I found a website called poets.org that has different forms. The first form I did is <em>Abecedean<\/em>. You use the first letter of the alphabet to start each line of the poem. Here&#8217;s my attempt:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>My Lust for Gold<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Abecederian<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All the<\/p>\n<p>Boys had me<\/p>\n<p>Charge them<\/p>\n<p>Dollars and cents and<\/p>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<p>For sex&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Good sex cost a<\/p>\n<p>High amount.<\/p>\n<p>I never had<\/p>\n<p>Jerks that good, even for<\/p>\n<p>Kicks that were<\/p>\n<p>Limited when I was young.<\/p>\n<p>Men even older<\/p>\n<p>Never insisted<\/p>\n<p>On money but<\/p>\n<p>Preferred<\/p>\n<p>Quality over quantity.<\/p>\n<p>Reaching for<\/p>\n<p>Substance,<\/p>\n<p>Truth and<\/p>\n<p>Unabashed<\/p>\n<p>Vanity<\/p>\n<p>What did I<\/p>\n<p>Xpect for<\/p>\n<p>Your lust?<\/p>\n<p>Zilch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every month, there is a local poetry group that you can go an listen to poetry or prose at the Shastea Lounge in Pawtuxet Village.
