{"id":50,"date":"2012-11-14T01:02:18","date_gmt":"2012-11-14T01:02:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/grimaulkin.com\/ljacob-today\/?p=50"},"modified":"2012-11-14T01:02:18","modified_gmt":"2012-11-14T01:02:18","slug":"day-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grimaulkin.com\/ljacob-today\/?p=50","title":{"rendered":"Day 7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"internal-source-marker_0.5770271014791732\" dir=\"ltr\">Daniel had said something about a castle on Longwood. \u00a0She hadn\u2019t been there, but knew it was just off campus. \u00a0Maybe she would go there Friday.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cLucy, I\u2019m home,\u201d yelled Ana as she stomped into the apartment. \u00a0Kate heard a thud, probably Ana\u2019s backpack hitting the floor. \u00a0She next heard a knock on her door, since it was right off the kitchen. \u00a0\u201cCome in,\u201d Kate called.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ana threw open the door. \u00a0\u201cHey, can you read over my paper and tell me what you think?\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWhat\u2019s the paper on?\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cMoby Dick.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cI never read Moby Dick.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cNeither have I. \u00a0But I want to make sure it doesn\u2019t sound like the Yellow Notes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cAna!\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cCould you please?\u201d \u00a0She held out a few hand-written papers. \u00a0\u201cI\u2019ll type it up later. \u00a0Just look it over?\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWill you make me dinner?\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ana sighed. \u00a0\u201cOh, come on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Kate said, \u201cNevermind, I already had dinner. \u00a0Let me see.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ana stomped into the room on huge platform shoes and handed the papers to Kate. \u00a0Ana turned back and left the room. \u00a0\u201cMark up what you need to,\u201d she said, and slammed shut Kate\u2019s door.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Kate sighed and sat down to read. \u00a0It sounded too much like the Yellow Notes, using words Ana would never use, such as \u201carmistice\u201d and \u201cmoribund\u201d. \u00a0She crossed the words out and at first started to fill in some words that Ana would use, simpler ones, but then just crossed the words out. \u00a0She wasn\u2019t going to write Ana\u2019s paper for her, and she\u2019d be damned if she was going to help her like this. \u00a0The more she read, the angrier she got, until she got to the third page and just tossed them aside.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Kate glared at the hand-written notebook paper, and picked it up, then threw open the door. \u00a0The TV was blaring in the other room, and Ana was in her usual spot, laying about on the couch. \u00a0She had a bag of microwave popcorn and was eating it, getting popcorn bits all over the rug. \u00a0The rug that she would have to vacuum tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cAna,\u201d Kate said. \u00a0Ana said nothing. \u00a0\u201cAna!\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ana jerked up. \u00a0\u201cOh, done already?\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cYou copied this right out of the Yellow Notes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cSome of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cMost of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">She shrugged.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cDon\u2019t you think your professor will know?\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cHe\u2019s old. \u00a0He\u2019s not going to know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cYou do know that he doesn\u2019t grade his papers. \u00a0A grad student usually does. \u00a0That grad student probably read the Yellow Notes at one time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cOh. \u00a0Can\u2019t you make it sound like it\u2019s not from the Yellow Notes?\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Kate dropped the papers onto Ana\u2019s lap. \u00a0\u201cI tried, but this is direct plagiarism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ana shrugged. \u00a0\u201cI\u2019ll get Lynn to read it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cLynn\u2019s got clinical tonight. \u00a0When\u2019s it due?\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cTomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Kate knew something like this was going to happen. \u00a0She vowed that she wasn\u2019t going to let Ana walk all over her and use her. \u00a0She knew Ana didn\u2019t have a computer, and it was too late for her to go back to campus to use the computer lab. \u00a0She wasn\u2019t going to be the one who was going to pander to Ana.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">However, the person who was ended up walking in the door. \u00a0\u201cNiva!\u201d Ana yelled as soon as she cleared the threshold. \u00a0She was up and out of the couch in a flash. \u00a0\u201cNiva, hon, can you do me a favor?\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Niva stopped at the door, not even shutting it. \u00a0\u201cOf course, Ana.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cCan you read my paper over?
