Gaming is mindless. \u00a0Writing can be work. \u00a0Sometimes it’s fun. \u00a0Sometimes, when I sit here thinking, “What character wants to talk today?”, \u00a0I have a total mind-blank. \u00a0I have about 30 characters that I can pick from. \u00a0Thirty distinct, separate characters with great backstory, but no wants. \u00a0That’s what drives a character. \u00a0As George Carlin says about sinning, “You gotta wanna.”<\/p>\n
A few of the characters I have do have wants. \u00a0But not 30 of them.<\/p>\n
I will have to cut down my gaming and get into the writing a little more. \u00a0If I can balance it, then I think I can be productive. \u00a0And that’s my resolution: to be productive.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
