I did a lot of editing today during my breaks and lunch. The editing process has turned into a rewriting process. Here’s some of what I did:<\/em><\/p>\n

Brent opened the door. Waters was holding ap piece of paper in his hand as he glared at the door. “What do you<\/em> want.”<\/p>\n

Waters’ room was the size of a closet and spartan like most of the rooms of any soldier. He had a makeshift desk of two folding chairs and a piece of leftover plywood straddled across the chairs. Located right beside his bed, the desk contained a laptop and some pictures in frames. Waters was in a t-shirt and tan uniform ants, his uniform tunic in a heap on the cot.<\/p>\n

“I want you to give me a briefing on the dragons,” Brent said.<\/p>\n

Waters looked beyond Brent. Standing the the doorway, Olron watched the two. Waters said, “Why don’t you ask him yourself?” He looked directly at Olron as he spoke.<\/p>\n

“You should know some of them are not forthcoming.”<\/p>\n

“Maybe because your a magician.”<\/p>\n

“Magus.”<\/p>\n

Waters ignored the correction. “Ask Makkah to tell you the story of his birth and what he used to do. Ask Tyrath where he’s from. Ask Baldar why he avoids people. Ask Olron why he’s even here.” Waters crossed his arms. “Do some work for once.”<\/p>\n

Brent’s fury came rushing up like bile, making his face hot. “What the fuck do you think I’ve been doing all day?”<\/p>\n

“Lighting up the HLZ? You might as well have called down the mortars on your position.”<\/p>\n

“That was personal,” said Brent, hunching his shoulders a little.He didn’t think anyone would have noticed. Someone obviously did. \u00a0“Besides, that has nothing to do with Schiffer’s new orders.”<\/p>\n

“You’re going to put that on me?”<\/p>\n

“You’re the one that said they were bullet-proof.”<\/p>\n
